Aberdeen bar manager on embezzlement charge

A man has gone on trial accused of embezzling more than £40,000 while working as the general manager of an Aberdeen bar.
Craig Douglas, 33, is alleged to have taken the money over a one-year period at the Enigma bar in the city's Belmont Street.
The offence is said to have taken place between 23 January, 2008 and 25 January, 2009.
Mr Douglas denied the charge during a hearing at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
