Polls open for Salford directly elected mayor vote

Residents in Salford are voting for their first directly-elected mayor along with their council.
A third of council seats are also up for grabs in Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan.
Voters in Manchester are also voting in a referendum on having a directly elected mayor for their city.
Council seats will be counted after polls close at 22:00 BST. Salford's mayor count starts at 11:00 on Friday.
