Man arrested over murder of Simon Tang in Carrickfergus
Published: 2nd May 2012 09:46:23
Police investigating the murder of Simon Tang in County Antrim in 1996 have made a further arrest.
Mr Tang, 28, who was married with two sons, was beaten and robbed as he left his takeaway business in Carrickfergus.
On Wednesday, a 34-year-old man was arrested in the town on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
Two women have already been charged with perverting the course of justice during the investigation, but no-one has been charged with Mr Tang's murder.
The case featured on the BBC's Crimewatch programme in March.
It is thought that two youths attacked the Oxford University graduate, before stealing his watch and less than £400 in cash.
Mr Tang was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
