Man held over £573,000 cannabis haul in Lesmahagow

A 54-year-old man has been arrested after cannabis plants with a street value of £573,000 were found at an industrial unit in South Lanarkshire.
Police acting under warrant searched the premises in Teiglum Road, Lesmahagow, at about 09:00 on Monday.
Officers from the Strathclyde force discovered a large quantity of plants, believed to be cannabis.
The man who is being held in police custody is expected to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
