Stoke City's Jermaine Pennant on drink-drive charge

Footballer Jermaine Pennant has been charged with drinking and driving after a crash in Greater Manchester.
The Stoke City player from Altrincham, Cheshire, was driving a BMW when he collided with an Audi in Cross Street, Sale, at about 05:20 BST on Sunday.
The 29-year-old winger is also charged with driving with no insurance and driving while disqualified, Greater Manchester Police said.
He is due to appear before Trafford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The driver of the Audi went to hospital for a minor back injury. He has since been discharged.
