Biker dies after crash with van on A99 in Caithness

A 28-year-old motorcyclist was died after a crash involving a van on a road in the far north of Scotland.
The accident happened on the A99 Latheron to Wick road about a mile south of Thrumster in Caithness on Saturday afternoon.
The male motorcyclist was killed and the driver of the van is being treated for serious injuries.
The road was closed for six hours for crash investigations to take place. Police have appealed for witnesses.
