Thousands take part in Greater Manchester Marathon

Thousands of people are taking part in the first marathon to be held in Greater Manchester in a decade.
About 8,000 runners set off from Longford Park in Stretford at about 09:00 BST.
The 26.2-mile (42km) route takes them through Trafford and out to Dunham Massey in Altrincham before returning to Longford Park.
Several roads will be closed throughout the day, including Kings Road, Chester Road and Brooklands Road.

Tram operator Metrolink has closed the Bury line on Sunday as part of its ongoing development and improvement plan but advised race goes that replacement buses would be in place.
Those taking part in the marathon will be eligible to use the buses free of charge.
The city's last marathon was held in 2002 but has been superseded by the 10km Great Manchester Run as the city's major running event.
The event is being staged by Altrincham-based sports management company Xtra Mile Events in conjunction with Trafford Council.
Organisers hope the new marathon will raise £1m for charities including partners The Christie and Henshaw's Society for Blind People.
