Two people have been killed in a crash on the M1 in Buckinghamshire, police said.
The collision between a lorry and a van happened at about 05:00 BST between junctions 13 and 14, near Milton Keynes.
Thames Valley Police said the crash involved a Ford Transit van and an Iveco lorry. The southbound carriageway has been closed.
Emergency services are at the scene and long tailbacks have developed.
Two occupants of the van died at the scene, a police spokesman said.
