M4 westbound closed after crash near Second Severn Crossing
Published: 24th Apr 2012 19:22:20
One person has been seriously injured and the westbound M4 has been closed after a crash near the second Severn crossing, say police.
Three vehicles were involved in the incident between junction 22 (M49) and junction 23 (M48 Magor).
The crash happened near the Toll Plaza on the Welsh side of the bridge. A diversion has been set up on to the M48 at junction 21.
Gwent Police said it did not know how long the carriageway would be closed.
Traffic is reported to be tailed back to junction 20 (M5 Almondsbury Interchange).
