Three houses in Salford were attacked with petrol bombs in the space of five minutes on Saturday, Greater Manchester Police have said.

A petrol bomb was thrown at the front of two houses in Duchy Road and at a home in Pevensey Road between 23:45 and 23:50 BST.

No-one was injured but there was minor damage to the front of the houses.

Det Insp Clare Devlin said "throwing fuel-filled bottles at people's homes" showed "absolute recklessness".

Police are not yet linking the three incidents.

Det Insp Devlin said: "We do not want to alarm people about this as only minor damage was caused and no-one received any injuries.

"However that does not diminish the demoralising effect this must have had on the house-holders.

"Clearly, this will cause some concern in the community but I want to reassure people that we are carrying out a number of inquiries and are determined to bring the offender or offenders to justice."
