A4244 Deiniolen crash victim Ceri Lyn Jones 'loved life'

Tributes have been paid to a woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash.

Ceri Lyn Jones, 34, died after the head-on collision between a Land Rover and a smaller vehicle on the A4244 at Deiniolen near Llanberis, Gwynedd.

Two others were taken to hospital on Saturday but police said their injuries were not thought to the life threatening.

Ms Jones' family said she "loved life and strived on being the life and soul of any party".

Her father Raymond added that she had a "happy outlook on life" and thanked her large circle of friends for their support.

Her mother Val said: "No parent expects to have to bury their child before them. Life is so unfair. Ceri was so beautiful."

The family said Ms Jones, who had worked for the Countryside Council for Wales in Bangor, relocated to Cardiff before moving back home again recently to work for the Welsh government at its Llandudno Junction office.

She was a former pupil of Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen and first worked with her father at Llanberis post office after leaving school.

Her brother Gavin and sisters Nia and Emma said she was very family-orientated and helped look after an aunt who had been left disabled after a serious road accident when she was 18.

The road Ms Jones died on was one the family all used regularly.

"Travelling on that road will always be difficult from now on," they said. "We visited the scene today to lay flowers. We just can't believe what's happened - it seems so unreal at the moment."

North Wales Police has asked any witnesses with information about the crash to call 101.
