Tribute to Wendy Davidson killed by lorry in Stalybridge
Published: 21st Apr 2012 09:35:50
The husband of a woman who died after being hit by a reversing lorry in Greater Manchester has said she was "a wonderful mother, wife and friend".
Wendy Davidson, 69, was hit by a curtain-sided lorry close to the Lord Nelson pub in Kenworthy Street, Stalybridge, on Friday.
Robert Davidson said his wife would be missed by all "who knew and loved her".
Greater Manchester Police said officers were working to establish "the exact cause of the collision".
Sgt Matt Bailey-Smith, from the force's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This is a tragic collision that has led to the death of a much-loved mother and wife and our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
"Specialist officers are with the family and providing every available support."
