London 2012: The Wanted to headline Birmingham Olympic concert

The Wanted have been revealed as the headliners for a free concert in Birmingham, which will coincide with the Olympic torch relay celebrations.

The band, known for their number one singles All Time Low and Glad You Came, will play the event at Cannon Hill Park on 30 June.

Singer-songwriter Loick Essien and Morning Parade are also on the bill.

It is one of four Special City Celebrations in the UK and tickets are available via an online ballot.

A ballot for tickets for the free event closes at 22:00 BST on 11 April.

James Williams, director of the Olympic torch relay, Coca-Cola Northwest Europe & Nordics, which is sponsoring the concerts, said: "It's a real day to celebrate what's great about Birmingham.

"It's Birmingham city celebrations with the Olympic torch relay."

The Olympic torch relay will pass local landmarks, including Edgbaston cricket ground and the Bull Ring shopping centre.

A finale concert will be held in Hyde Park, London on 26 July and will feature Dizzee Rascal and a special performance by Mark Ronson & Katy B.
