Skelmersdale woman found in Southway in critical condition

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being found lying injured in a road close to a footbridge in Skelmersdale.
The 34-year-old was found with serious injuries by a passing motorist on Friday evening.
The woman, who lives locally, is being treated for multiple injuries at Hope Hospital.
She was found in Southway, close to a footbridge from Glenburn College to Eskdale.
Police have appealed for any witnesses who saw a woman in the area between 20:45 GMT and 21:30 GMT on Friday to contact them.
