John Lee Barrett: Eight charged over Rochdale stabbing

Eight men have been charged following the death of a man at a Rochdale nightclub early on Christmas Day.

John Lee Barrett, 31, died from a stab wound to his back at Sinclair's Bar.

Police carried out raids at properties across Greater Manchester on Thursday. The men are due before Manchester Magistrates Court on Saturday.

A 21-year-old man has been released without charge and another 21-year-old man has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Three men have been charged with violent disorder causing grievous bodily harm: Jermaine Wilson, 21, of Spindle Tree Avenue, Blackley, Manchester; Lathan Forrester, 22, and Lance Forrester, 25, both of Great Western Street, Moss Side, Manchester.

Five men have been charged with violent disorder: Warren Mason, 29, of Claremont Road, Moss Side, Manchester, Rummal Ingram, 24, of Wilson Street, Beswick, Manchester, Andrew Beckford, 29, of Ivy Street, New Moston, Manchester along with Olushola Watson, 33, and Anton Ogle, 23, both of no fixed abode.
