Arrest after alleged abduction of woman from Bearsden home

A man has been arrested in connection with the alleged assault and abduction of an elderly woman near Glasgow.
Strathclyde Police had appealed for information about an incident which began at the woman's house in Bearsden about 13:40 on Wednesday.
A spokesman said an 18-year-old man had been arrested and was detained in police custody.
He was expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
