Injured man rescued from Fallowfield lake
Published: 28th Feb 2012 16:28:20
A man is in a serious condition after being found with head injuries in a lake in Manchester.
The man, who police said was believed to be in his late teens, was rescued from the lake in Platt Fields Park, Fallowfield, at about 05:35 GMT.
He was treated by emergency services for serious head injuries. Police said his injuries were life-threatening.
A police spokesman said the incident was being treated as suspicious.
The man was not carrying any identification.
He is described by police as white with short fair hair and has a six-inch scar on his left ankle.
Det Insp Terry Crompton said: "We are appealing to the public to help us identify this man, who is lying critically injured in a hospital bed."
