Manchester nightclub brain injury attackers jailed

Three men who attacked club-goers outside a Manchester nightclub leaving a man with brain injuries and partially sighted, have been sentenced to jail.
Matthew Edgington, 25, suffered a fractured skull when he was set upon outside Panacea on John Dalton Street on 28 November 2009.
Simon Parrott, 21, Samuel Jordan, 21, and Lee Walne 22, from Salford admitted their involvement in the violence.
All three were jailed at Manchester Crown Court.
Parrott of Fairmount Road, Swinton, admitted grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm and was sentenced to 14 months.
Jordan of Ellenbrook, admitted causing grievous bodily harm, and was sentenced to 14 months.
Lee Walne of Brett Road, Boothstown, admitted causing actual bodily harm and affray and was sentenced to six months.
