Man in court over murder in Edinburgh flat

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a 45-year-old man whose body was found when firefighters were called to a blaze in Edinburgh.
The body of Alan Ross, 45, was found at his first-floor flat in Pilton Drive North at about 0230 GMT on Sunday.
David Nairn, 26, from Edinburgh, appeared on petition in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
No plea or declaration was made and the case was continued for further inquiry. Mr Nairn was remanded in custody.
