Severe shop fire 'escalating' on Stratford Road

A severe fire has started in a shop and industrial unit in the Sparkbrook area of Birmingham.
It started at about 1015 GMT in Stratford Road and West Midlands Fire Service said it was a "rapidly escalating situation".
About 60 firefighters are at the scene and it is not known whether anyone was inside when it began.
Stratford Road is closed from Warwick Road and Fulham Road and plumes of smoke can be seen from the city centre.
