Men arrested over St Helens alley collapse death

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man who was found collapsed in an alleyway on Merseyside died in hospital.
The man, 40, was discovered with head injuries off Parr Street, St Helens at about 1515 GMT on Thursday.
He was taken to Whiston Hospital but died at about 2300 GMT, a Merseyside Police spokesman said.
The arrested men are aged 34 and 37 and remain in custody for questioning, the spokesman added.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later.
