Police have named the driver who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the outskirts of Aberdeen on Christmas Eve.

Douglas MacClugash, 21, from Banchory, died after the crash on the Kingswells to Newhill road.

A family of four in the other car were treated in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for minor injuries.

Douglas's parents, Bridget and Joe, said their son - an apprentice engineer, pipe band member and rugby player - would be "sorely missed".
