Paltrow added to Hollywood Walk of Fame
Published: 14th Dec 2010 16:36:43

Gwyneth Paltrow has been honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
The actress, who won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in Shakespeare in Love in 1998, said she was "overwhelmed" to have received the accolade in the city of her birth.
"I am from Los Angeles. This city is so much part of my heart and soul and the idea that my grandchildren can one day come and see my name on the sidewalk is very overwhelming," she said at the unveiling ceremony.
Paltrow's star on Hollywood Boulevard can be found outside the Madame Tussauds celebrity wax museum.
Meanwhile, Shana Feste, who directed Paltrow in the soon-to-be-released movie Country Strong, praised the star's unique acting gift.
"You could be having the most mundane conversation about the weather, and she hears the word 'action', and she would deliver the most nuanced, layered, heartbreakingly beautiful scene and look at you like she just tied her shoe," she said.
Paltrow has also appeared in the likes of The Talented Mr Ripley, The Royal Tenenbaums and Iron Man.
