Jim Lynch named Belle Vue Aces manager
Published: 1st Dec 2010 10:51:34
Belle Vue Aces have appointed former Great Britain boss Jim Lynch as their new team manager, his second spell in charge of the club.
Lynch, who takes over from Chris Morton, who will now focus on the club's attempt to secure a new stadium.
He won the Elite League title with Peterborough in 2006 and led Great Britain in the World Cup a year later.
He said: "I've had some good years in speedway but one of my happiest was the last time I was at Belle Vue."
Lynch's first spell at the club saw him take charge under former promoter John Perrin in 2003.
He added: "I've had a couple of years on the outside looking in but I was delighted when the call came out of the blue to join Belle Vue.
"I had told a few people that I felt ready to come back into speedway but I never imagined that the chance to join the Aces would come up."
