Published: 29th Nov 2010 12:49:37
Two Londonderry sisters have admitted defrauding the Ulster Bank out of more than £5,300 by falsely lodging cheques.
Danielle Sharkey, 22, from Sperrin Park in Derry, and her 19-year-old sister Megan, from Jefferson Court, pleaded guilty to lodging with intent to defraud 11 cheques in May 2008.
Deputy District Judge Harry Coll told the defendants their offences required a jail sentence.
The case was adjourned until January.
