Northumbria police officer guilty of rape

A Northumbria Police officer has been found guilty of two charges of rape and three indecent assaults involving vulnerable women he met on duty.
On Tuesday, Pc Stephen Mitchell, from Glasgow, was convicted of six counts of misconduct in public office.
He was previously found not guilty of nine counts of misconduct in public office, three counts of indecent assault and three counts of rape.
Mitchell, 42, who denied all the charges, is due to be sentenced later.
