Closeburn garage cannabis factory case deserted
Published: 19th Nov 2010 10:15:37
The case has been deserted against two men accused of being involved in a major cannabis factory at a former garage in Dumfriesshire.
Allan Burke, 39, from Manchester, and Allan McAleese, 35, from Dumfries, had denied the offence.
The pair were due to face trial by jury but Dumfries Sheriff Court was told the case had been deserted.
A drugs factory - with plants worth about £500,000 - was uncovered at Closeburn Industrial Estate in 2008.
