Police have charged a sixth man with the murder of a married couple who died after a house fire in Lancashire.

Abdullah Mohammed, 41, was killed in the fire at his family's home in London Road, Blackburn, in October, while his wife, Ayesha, 39, died a week later.

A 20-year-old man from London is due before Blackburn magistrates later charged with two counts of murder and arson with intent to endanger life.

Five other men have so far been charged over the fire.

Three other men; Peter Bowden, 39, from Lytham St Annes, Imran Ali, 29, from Manchester, and Sadek Miah, 23, from the Isle of Dogs, have been charged with two counts of murder and arson with intent to endanger life.

A 22-year-old man from London, who was arrested in Forest Gate on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail pending further enquiries and a 37-year-old man from Fleetwood arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder has also been bailed.

A girl, 14, who was hurt in the fire, remains in hospital but police have said her condition is improving.
