Working in partnership

Northumbria Probation Trust is committed to working in partnership with a range of organisations in the voluntary, public and private sectors.

Local partnerships

Our work with offenders is supported through a number of partnerships, both funded and non funded. This provides additional specialised expertise with which to address certain aspects of an offenders sentence and rehabilitation needs.

Partnerships include education, training and employment providers, housing providers and drug and alcohol treatment providers.

A list of our current funded partnerships can be found here.

Information on our many non funded partnership arrangements across Northumbria can be made available on request.

Northumbria Probation Trust also sits on various partnership boards, working together towards shared goals to improve criminal justice and cut crime in Northumbria.

Multi agency public protection arrangements ( MAPPA)

MAPPA is the process through which the police, probation and prison services work together with other agencies to manage violent and sexual offenders and protect the public from harm.

Northumbria Criminal Justice Board
